I cannot tell you guys how much I love Christmas and this time of year! I used to love it oh, so much but now that we have a little, I am beyond obsessed with this magical time of year. There is something so special about decorating your home, sharing traditions with your little one and making each day merry and bright. At first, after decorating, Danica was plowing into the tree and I was freaking out. A sweet friend told me about her 'one finger' touch for the tree and ornaments and I decided to put that to use. You can see above in a few pictures that we were telling her 'one finger' and boy did she catch on so fast. Now it is so cute, she runs up to the tree and points or touches things with one finger. Sometimes an ornament or two will fall, but we just laugh and put it back and I think, it is better than the whole tree going down ;)

I bought this dress before I got pregnant a few years back and I never had the chance to wear it. Honestly, I think it was lost in my closet haha. I pulled it out and knew it would be the perfect Mrs. Claus outfit for a holiday shoot around the house. I cannot find it online or even a similar one and I am sorry. I am sure you all want a short, fluffy, tulled out, bright red dress?! Haha!!

For decorating the house this year, I knew I wanted a flocked tree since August. (I know, I am weird!)  There were just two minor hurdles to jump to get it. One, convincing the hubs and two, finding the perfect one. I love love love my tree!!! My hubs prefers a REAL tree and as much as I love those too, I did not want to get a real one and flock it as they make such a mess. Plus, 3 pieces and prelit? SOLD.

I am so happy I grabbed the LOVE marquee. I am thinking I will keep it up year round. I am such a sucker for lights/ambiance and it goes perfectly with our living room decor. I made our burlap stockings back before we got married and the little one is actually a dog stocking that has now become Danica's. Two years ago, I made us all plaid stockings and I just used those for the dogs this year.

Target had a faux fur tree skirt that was $45 and seemed a little steep for a tree skirt I may not like next year (since I am a mind changer like crazy!) so I went to Joanns, bought a piece of faux fur fabric for $20 with a coupon and wrapped it around the tree. I find the dogs sleeping under the tree on it quite a bit too #multipurpose

I hope you are all enjoying the holidays!
Off to make fudge...
