Yep, its happening. The bump is starting to peek out ;] It's actually pretty darn cute and shows even more at the end of the day. I am happy to report that I can still wear most of my clothes but they are starting to get a little tight around the middle and I-DO NOT LIKE TIGHT. I like my clothes to fit gently.
Maternity style can be so much fun these days. I feel so fortunate to be pregnant during the upcoming warm months, that will allow me to dress in fun maxi skirts and dresses all Spring and Summer long. Until then, I was teetering on even purchasing jeans and happened to pop into Old Navy the other day in search of a baby item and landed flat in the maternity section. They have some great, stylish maternity clothes for super inexpensive. I have never even bought jeans there before (because when you are almost 6 feet tall, you have a rough time with denim fitting in all the right places) but decided to grab a few pairs of maternity jeans and give it a try. So, I grabbed some 12 and 14's thinking I had gained a few el-b's and rolled into the fitting rooms. I was pleasantly surprised that they fell off, making me do a jumping cheer in the mirror and headed back for my normal size. Yes, I am still in my normal size! WooHoo!! However, the waist band on these babies is a 3" band of stretchy amazingness and the jeans are a light stretch in themselves. I wore these to work and swear I will keep them forever. Well maybe not forever but for a really long time. They stayed up all day, fit the booty great and were definitely long enough. I also snagged a couple of these tanks. They are long and wonderfully soft with ruched sides to make them super comfortable and forgiving and come in an array of cute colors and prints. Old Navy has done a great job to help with bump style and I will definitely be back there to shop!
Thank you all for your sweet comments! I am happy to be back and feeling good!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend...
