2014 Goals The Parlor Girl
I have to start by telling you all that "14" is my lucky number. I won the cake walk in 4th grade with the number 14 and it has always been my number. I could not be more thrilled for this amazing year ahead of us that has 14 in it.
Goals… (Goals Are Dreams With Headlines)
I love some good old goals. I think it is so important to have goals in motion, because if you don't know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else (LP). Goals are fun and can range from small to large. But make sure you have them in place to help provide direction and momentum. I also like to have small rewards for achieved goals. For me, rewards majorly drive me to accomplish stuff.
My little brother was a huge inspiration with my goal setting this year. He is a very successful guy in so many different areas but my admiration for him, comes from his extreme ability to set and achieve goals. He has traveled the world and has many different business ventures and keeps a positive attitude to accompany these things all the time. There were many phone calls exchanged lately asking him for some of his little tips and tricks to help me the older sister gain more direction. Gotta love all your family members as they can all contribute very special gifts in your life! One of the first things he shared with me was to look back at your previous year and acknowledge the things you already accomplished and did not make. I am going to share some things with you all, but first know that I am not perfect and am completely human in all my endeavors. I have made mistakes in life and yet the most important thing is to be able to LEARN from them. I think sometimes we look at bloggers on a pedestal and see beautiful pictures with a lot of expensive clothes, or just a lot of clothes, gorgeous homes, perfect family pics and assume everything is perfect for them in their lives. But guess what?! It is not any more perfect than your life. And even more, there is no such thing as perfection, because it leaves no room for growth! One of my favorite quotes!! Just remember that here on PG, my hope is to provide you with inspiration in your own wardrobe and life and also help you achieve a little more confidence in feeling amazing from the clothes you are putting on.

I have decided to share my past and present goals with you all, so here goes!!

  2. Love how you started you 2013 and 2014 putting God first. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you." (Jeremiah 29:11-12)

    God bless you! Happy 2014!!!
