five things to love about this week

1. Ozark // Binge TV at its finest... Ozark staring Jason Bateman whom is an amazingly brilliant actor. I think this is my favorite role he has ever played. He is an accountant/financial advisor that has to relocate his family to the Ozarks when his dealings with the drug cartel go crazy! We are total binge TV people lol...

2. Pretty Pits // After heading towards the natural side to combat underarm yuck and live less toxic, I have seriously bought so many deodorants as of late to which I hate to say are all horrible. I was a Suave- Powder Scent person my entire life. There was something about the simple scent and dryness that was absolute bliss. But I just had a feeling that the aluminum was not that great for you.

Now I am not a stinky person, but working out and sweating, yard work and washing hair, all have me on alert for pretty pits that stay on the dry side and the search for a more natural product to help with that.

The ones I have used and tried:

The Honest Co Deodorant Spray $9 // these are a spray on that smell good but you have to reapply all day long and you stay wet. I keep one at work and spray it occasionally for the scent but I am a person that likes the feeling of dryness.

Crystal Body $5 // I used this ages ago and recently and it's OK. It helps to prevent odor and to me you are still damp. But there is something about wetting it and sometimes it feels scrapie (is that even a word haha!) as you are applying it. No aluminum or chlorohydrate.

Toms Naturally Dry $5 // I recently had this and used an entire stick which seemed to go fast. It has no artificial fragrance or preservatives and definitely keeps you dry but that is because it still has aluminum chlorohydrate  (22%) in it. And from research, the aluminum is what temporarily clogs your sweat glands and therefore the result is dryness... SO is Toms that natural?!

Toms for Men $5 // I literally grabbed this last night at the grocery store as I am desperate waiting for another to arrive. I got the Woodsy Scent (my inner hippie loves patchouli). Again, it is similar to the naturally dry version above. If you are trying to avoid aluminum, this is not your fave.

LAVANILA $14 // I actually used this years ago and forgot abut it until I started writing this post. These have no aluminum or mineral oils, available in 6 scents and a travel size. I am heading to get this again today!

Native $12 // I actually just ordered this! I was hoping for it to arrive last week to get in for my review but will update you after I use it. They have women's and men's and my hubs is going to try it too! He just doesn't know it haha.

Please let me know if there are any you have tried and loved as well. I am always on the prowl for a good deodorant.

3. Afternoon Pick-Me-Up // Energy Fizz Sticks from Arbonne. My good friend is an Arbonne consultant and just gave me some of the fizz packets to sample and I am obsessed! I dropped one in my afternoon water and no need for a coffee, I was buzzing around the house, cleaning, organizing and had the best mental clarity. I am hooked!! Have you tried these before?

Update** If you are interested: you can get them here →

4. Intervals on the Treadmill // I received a ton of questions about my legs in this post. I have to attribute it to staying consistent with my BBG workout program (30+ weeks in) and running intervals on the treadmill. I warm-up, then run 1 minute and walk 1 minute and follow with a cool down. I typically do that for 15-20 mins and that's it!! Try it and let me know what you think.

5. Summer // Is it just me or does summer feel like its wrapping up? Maybe that is because I bought a boat load of fall clothes at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? Oops. Or that the minute 4th of July hits, it is a downhill slope to fall? We have a couple of fun things left to do and I am trying to soak up every last minute of sunshine because the minute winter gets here, I know I will wish for pool time.

Happy Monday Friends!
