Being a mom is one of the MOST rewarding jobs out there, but along with that comes a variety of challenges. Loosing your sense of self and identity is probably one of the top things I hear and talk about with my friends, family and clients. Besides lack of sleep!! Haha!!
Maintaining your sense of self does not need to take much. I am not talking about MAC makeup application, dressed like you're going out at night daily or having blow dry bar skills every damn day.
With a few closet basics and knowing which pieces to grab can and will help you in those rushed mama mornings while trying to get out of the house, sans sweats.
Pre-planning your outfits can be super helpful. Hang the pieces together in your closet on hangers so all you have to do when rushed is pull them out and add your shoes. I have even helped my sister do this and have all the shoes lined up under each outfit as well.
For me, I almost always start with jeans!! They are my go-to. Then I pick a fun top like this off shoulder beauty above. The tie front gives it an extra bit of character. Lastly, I add my shoes. If I have a lunch or meeting then I will pick a heel or something more fun. If I am chasing D, doing drop-off or heading to work I would wear a sneaker or these slides.
My makeup application is simple and I literally wash my hair 2 maybe 3x a week! I almost never even brush it and just clip my extensions back in daily (shh). I am working on a new hair video for you too.
There you have it, a couple tips to help keep you pulled together as a MOM and looking great, hand-in-hand with feeling great!!
