home decor: 2 simple ways to spruce up your living space for spring

Happy Monday!!! Are you all excited for a brand new week? I know I am!! We binged Season 2 of Hand of God and I need to get out of my house today! That brings me to the topic of Spring Spruce up.

I am actually LOL because I got nails on Saturday and lets just say I am having a heck of a time typing... Anyways, today I am sharing two fun ways you can bring some Spring inside your home.

Nothing screams Spring like flowers and greenery. After a long gray, dull, rainy Winter, it sure is nice to add some simple color back into the home. I know my personal roses are already blooming and our California hills are super green here. Those both make me so excited for warmer weather and adding some simple Spring blooms in our home.

1 // flowers make everything brighter, warmer and more loving in the home. I love fresh flowers and I try to grab them once a week. I usually find great ones (quality and price) at Trader Joe's or Costco. Sometimes my Safeway has them but they do not seem to live as long from there.

I love to use watering cans, milk jugs and more unusual styles of vases to add even more character to the arrangement.

Tulips, roses, hydrangeas and peonies are everywhere right now.

2 // greenery I bought flowers the week before we went to Hawaii and set the green leaves aside in a different water vase. They were too big for my liking with the roses but I did enjoy them by themselves. I kid you not, they are still living-going on their 5th week!! Crazy..

The greens are so simple and you can have them as long, short or compact as you like. They would look great in the bathroom, kitchen or on the coffee table. You can even use artificial leaves in a tall vase and add a little water to have the same effect. I have about half of my plants artificial. Partly because of the dogs and baby and the other part is I use to be a brown thumb. I am now learning to raise plants but still love how green my fakes look.

Any fun Easter plans??
