30 Week Update

30 Weeks...

Feeling |  I am very thankful to have a decent amount of energy. I can still workout, clean the house and go to work. Because I stand all day (doing hair) I have had to stop doing walks/cardio on my two long work days as I am a morning workout person and by the time the end of the day would come, I was feeling an enormous amount of pressure and had to lay down. So, now I just take my days off during my work week. I have also learned that through this entire process, you have to be flexible! whaaat? jk

Movement |  She still moves like a maniac. As I said before, I love it because it lets me know she is there and it is so connecting.

Sleeping |  Ahhh sleep... Well, sleep is changing. I am waking up more and more in the middle of the night. About 6 nights a week to go potty, followed by the inability to fall right back asleep. I think the normal brain reaction is to fret at that point, so I just turn it into a relax time of happy planning, or imagining rocking my little girl back to sleep in the nursery when she is here or whatever else that helps to calm my mind back down instead of freaking out over feeling tired the next day or wondering how I am going to be off work when I have never taken more than 2 weeks in my life and I have worked since I was 14. You get the point ;]

Mood |  Mood is fab. I feel happy the majority of the time. No more road rage ha! I think being older now and doing this, has really made me grateful and therefore get to appreciate and be thankful for the entire process. You really have to be selfless. Sometimes I sit here and think I am literally growing a life inside of me. No wonder people LOVE pregnant women. It is the absolute, most amazing thing a woman/female body can do. OMG I have tears! LoL So yes, I am effing happy happy happy!!!

Cravings |  Fruit has been the culprit throughout this entire pregnancy. Occasionally, I like a maple cake donut with rainbow sprinkles, but to be perfectly honest, it drops like a brick and makes me feel like crap!

Weight/Maternity Clothes |  Still hovering at 18 pounds. Again, not something I am used to as I have always pretty much been the same weight within 5 pounds or so forever, but I am adjusted to it now and completely ok with it. I have stopped buying maternity stuff. I feel like I have enough basics to get me through till the end. I may get a dress for my shower but that's about it. All of my maxi skirts and dresses fit just fine and I will still wear my maternity tanks after, so really there is no need to keep buying a wardrobe! More money saved!!

Hubs |  He was so sweet in helping to start getting the nursery together this last weekend. I did cause him a bit of grief as he had to run electrical to the room for the new chandelier and lets say he's not a small guy to fit in an attic that was pretty warm where we live. But he is a trooper and did it! I am so grateful I have a husband who can do these things! GSD baby!!

Lastly |  I have to confess that I have started thinking about giving birth. And I must admit I have a teeny little thing in the back of my head (maybe because it is the unknown) that is making me a hair scared. But, I sit and pray and have to remind myself this is like sky diving and there is only one way out and it will all be ok!

Thank you all for reading along and following my amazing journey! As soon as we get the entire nursery together, I will definitely post all of the pics for those of you whom have asked ;] Thank you for your sweet comments and continued support!

XO, B

{**Disclaimer** I hate that I even have to write this but I know I have to remove the netting, pillows, bumper and other things within baby's reach ;])
