all black date night outfit

Outfit Details... Top: similar / Pants: F21 / Booties: Shoemint / Bag: Phillip Lim for Target / Necklaces: Vintage my Grandma & Old / Sunnies: Prada / Lips: MAC Plum

The hubs got a new toy/car this last weekend. So we decided to take it for a drive to our favorite restaurant in Daly City called Joe's of Westlake. It is an old school Italian place where all the waiters are super old and remind me of Sopranos {if you know what I mean}. Anywho, my Mr worked there in high school and it was one of our first date spots and quickly became a favorite of mine. However, to get there we have to leave the burbs and venture through the city. As we came out of the tunnel he says "oh this is your first trip across the new bridge"... If you don't live in CA, we have a new Bay Bridge that opened up Labor Day weekend and took MANY years to build. I will not even get into that as #1 my husband is union and #2 the toll is redic and the bridge was waaay over budget. Did I mention I do hair. That's my world ;]
So, back to our drive, of course I was photographing it the entire way {this is mainly for my BFF's that live out of state} and yet even though I was taking pics I am still amazed every time I drive into the city and am in awe over the beauty. You can still see the old janky bridge in the background as they are slowly removing it and it almost reminds me of a train bridge. The older one use to be double decker but now is side-by-side with one suspension tower on the first span. They have a pedestrian/bike path on the far left which is sooo cool. And at the very top of the tower they had American flags. I am such a patriotic softy. It gave me chills to see that. Then you go through treasure Island and it goes back to being double decker. On our drive in, the sky was amazing. You could see the Golden Gate Bridge without any fog and Coit Tower. I just love all the different shapes and sizes of the city buildings and could not help myself from snapping a bunch of photos. Sorry if a few are blurry he was driving fast. Then as we neared the restaurant, the sunset was absolutely to die for. The perfect picture! Well besides my outfit. JK.

Hope you all are having a great week!!!

Do you like adventures for date night? Or keep it simple at home? Or both?!
