5 Tips to Eating Healthy


1 Always have breakfast

Starting off each day with a meal helps boost your metabolism through the day and keep your inner furnace/fat burning machine revved.

2 Drink a LOT of water

Water can actually help you lose weight and burn fat. It is nature’s natural appetite suppressant. The more you drink each day, the less you will eat. Try to drink 1.5-2 liters of water a day. Eliminate fizzy drinks and avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol. Also, adding a cucumber slice or lemon wedge really helps to enhance the flavor of your water, making it more palatable.

3 Consume nutrient-rich foods

Eat more foods that grow on trees, in the ground or roam around. These include fruits, green vegetables, lean meats, poultry and fish. Avoid processed and manufactured items.

4 Exercise daily

Daily exercise is great for your physical and mental well-being which will result in better food choices throughout the day. AM or PM walks are a great way to do this and also enhance your body’s ability for food digestion.

5 Cut back on fats

Too much saturated fat can raise the amount of cholesterol in your blood. The following contain saturated fat: cheese, butter, sausages and dairy. Try to cut back and substitute with unsaturated fats: olive oil, oily fish, almonds, almond butter and avocados.
